Senior Technical Engineer

PAS Trading (Shenzhen)
02.2018 - 12.2019

My role involves into the quality issue, incoming quality inspection, customer application development, align with R&D team for data collection and product development based on customer demands.

Senior Engineer

Finisar Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.
07.2016 - 01.2018
  • As the adhesive specialist for a high-volume opto-electronic component manufacturing plant, I confidently mix, test, and qualify various adhesives, including UV-cure, thermal-cure, and pressure-sensitive adhesives. This has greatly improved manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • I was able to set up a comprehensive adhesive database for the Ipoh, Malaysia factory, consolidating information on manufacturers, uncured and cured properties, and processing parameters.
  • I worked collaboratively with multiple adhesive suppliers to source and qualify new adhesives that could replace the existing one with better stability and guaranteed performance. Successfully qualified a new epoxy with a working life of 24 hours to replace the existing epoxy, which only lasted for 15 minutes.
  • Work together with team members confidently enhance the manufacturing process by developing a new dispensing pattern and optimizing dispensing and curing parameters. This will effectively eliminate the need for a backfill process.
  • Perform experiment to validate the thermal expansion (CTE) mismatch between new epoxy candidates and gold wires.
  • Determine the curing percentage of Anisotropic Conductive Film (ACF) using an introduced analytic method via FTIR, as the DSC method has limitations in sample preparation.
  • Additionally, validate our in-house epoxy mixing process to improve quality control and reduce costs compared to premixed epoxy.
  • Provide support and liaise with R&D teams based in the United States, Singapore, and China. Having the opportunity to actively participate in the development process of our newly launched products. My expertise and input will be highly valued which contribute to the success of the optoelectronic products.
