I am confident that my intensive academic laboratory experience promises analytical thinking capacity and teamwork skills, coupled with a strong desire to develop in professional setting. In addition, my academic experiences also endow me with the ability to quickly grasp new concepts and adapt to dynamic work environments, paired with foundational skills in research and report writing. This internship opportunity at Google will, I am more than willing to believe, prove to be extremely valuable for whatever career path I will take in the future by providing me with a platform on which I can further enhance my communication and collaboration skills and gain more work experience which will pave the way for my future job endeavours.

My higher education experience in purely English-speaking countries has enabled me to achieve an advanced level of proficiency in both written and spoken English I feel that this is yet another factor that partly qualifies me for this internship role at Google.

I have been reading books by William L. Shirer repeatedly, including the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich and the Berlin Diary. History relating to the war between Germany and the USSR, horrific as it was in terms of its brutality and casualties, has long been the most fascinating history topic for me personally. The Soviet defeat of the Nazis has powerfully attracted me by proving itself to be an episode of military epic that has remained unsurpassed in every aspect up to now, with both sides wielding the most sophisticated and deadliest weaponry at the time. It genuinely makes question in my own heart what humans are capable of doing to their fellow creatures.

I started learning to play the traditional Chinese musical instrument erhu at the age of seven, and have been excelling at it ever since. I attained the highest possible level of proficiency, Level 10 in Chinese assessment system, and performed on musical concert stages on various occasions, including one in front of the Malaysian Princess in 2017. My mastery of it has an incredibly edifying experience and endowed me with the capacity for patience and fine nuances in the academic work I have done. It will also benefit me in my future life in many other ways.
