Brings passion for continuous learning and growth and ready to use and develop skills in coding and data analysis in Data Scientist role.
Investigated the impact of mass deworming on gut microbiome composition and antimicrobial resistance gene (ARG) profiles in Ethiopian children. Conducted metagenomic analysis on long-read sequencing data in R using packages like ALDEx2, LEfSe, and performed ARG profiling and network analysis using various statistical tests and tools such as Galaxy, ABRicate, and Gephi. Built Random Forest classifiers in R, achieving up to 93% accuracy in predicting deworming status. Discovered reduced Enterobacteriaceae in dewormed children and upregulated tetracycline resistance genes (tet(W), tet(O)) in Soil-transmitted-helminths(STH)-positive groups. Currently refining paper for submission and will be attending the Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) Conference (Feb 2025) to present poster.
Learned Google Workspace as well as file and folder automation using UiPath. Automated repetitive manual steps involved with invoice processing (e.g. accessing a Gmail account, reading messages, downloading invoice documents, saving, renaming, processing them into the document
management system) for the Colgate Accounting department.
